Hasidic Tours by Frieda

I thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the Williamsburg Hasidic community. Frieda is just as you experience her on her YouTube Channel. She is friendly, courteous and very knowledgeable. What an absolutely lovely way to spend a Wednesday afternoon. On top of that, we got to eat some local sweet treats and finished the tour around a table sharing a meal. What better way to come together in our crazy world than that. Most of our tour members were German from all over Germany. That tells you the reach Frieda has through her videos. I want to personally thank Frieda for taking the time to enrich my life by getting know and experience a community that is very much different than mine.

This is an absolutely fascinating tour. Frieda does a detailed explanation of the norms and customs of Hasidism and then brings these norms into real life via her own personal anecdotes. You will gain a tremendous amount of knowledge and insight re Hasidism in just a few hours and also sample some tasty food and desserts. This is an unforgettable experience!

Frieda's tour was absolutely wonderful! Frieda has gone to great lengths to ensure that all details are attended to, thereby ensuring that participants have a wonderful experience. She beautifully infuses history of the diaspora with contemporary practices and provides an amazingly interesting portrait of life among the Satmar Hasidim in Williamsburg. Frieda possesses a wealth of knowledge of the community, and welcomes questions and wonderings that participants might have about the Hasidic way of life. This was such an awesome experience, and I cannot recommend Frieda's tour highly enough.

had such a great time taking this tour of South Williamsburg - Frieda is such a thoughtful and knowledgeable tour guide. despite living in the NYC area, it’s hard to learn about the Hasidic community and this tour provides a wonderful means to do so. my friends and I loved the experience and highly encourage it for anyone - tourists or locals!
